West To East

We've found our way back to the east coast, New York to be exact. It's good to be back but I'm sad to leave LA behind, the move almost happened too fast. Hope to be back to LA soon but I'm excited to be in NY.

Mummy & Speed Racer

I've been updating my portfolio over the past few weeks. Still some more stuff to come, but most recently is some of my work on Mummy 3.

Intuition Games

We just spent the weekend in Omaha Nebraska and had the opportunity to meet with some of the gang from Intuition Games who drove out from Iowa to meet us. Intuition is finishing up the major undertaking of Dinowaurs which is to be released on the popular online game website Kongregate. They gave us a tour of their beta and it's (in my opinion) one best flash games out there. It's sure to be a hit with it's complex physics engine, multi-player gameplay, quirky and fun extras, and of course configurable Dino avatars with fun accessories and weapons.

I'm now freelancing with the fellas at Three Legged Legs. A great group of artists w/ a great project.

Digital Domain: Mummy 3

I finished working on Mummy: Tomb of the Emperor Dragon this last Friday. I had a great time on the project and learned a lot. I can't wait to see the movie as I'm a big fan of the first two. It feels good to contribute to a movie as a fan.
I'm currently trying to catch up as everything always seems to slip when these projects go into six or seven day weeks near the end but this recovery won't be too bad. I just updated my portfolio with an improved layout with better navigation...at least I think so. I also added an "Interviews"page which links to my work for mymentalray.com.

Speed Racer to Mummy

So Speed Racer has finished and I'm really glad I got the chance to work on the film. I Met a lot of great people on the show and now after a two week break I'm back at DD working on the Mummy 3. The show has a really strong pipeline and the VFX are going to be fun. It's great to meet all the new people on the Mummy show...and there are a lot of familiar faces from Racer working on Mummy which is nice.

Today marks my first day working at Digital Domain. I'm excited with the opportunity and feel lucky to get to work on Speed Racer!

Good bye Buck!

Today is my last day as a full time dude at Buck. It's been blast and I'll miss being around everyone all the time. I wish everybody the best and hope to work with them all again soon.

Buck: Fuel spots

We just recently finished two more Fuel ID spots!

The Sakrifice spot was really enjoyable to work on.... a fun combination of 3D and 2d. My first time doing frame by frame cell stuff in Photoshop in CS3.

Also on motionographer!! Woohoo.
